Emmy 2018: 'The marvelous mrs. Maisel' é maior ganhadora da premiação

Premiação teve direito a pedido de casamento na noite desta segunda

A 70ª edição do Emmy foi marcada, como já tem sido de praxe nas grandes premiações, por discursos de empoderamento feminino e críticas à pouca presença de negros na indústria do entretenimento - o apresentador Michael Che deu o tom da conversa, com direito até a uma esquete em que fez uma "reparação dos erros do Emmy" e um endosso à hashtag #EmmysSoWhite.

O principal prêmio da noite, de melhor série de drama, foi para os mãos do elenco de Game of Thrones, que desbancou concorrentes como The Crown e Stranger Things, da Netflix, e The Handmaid's Tale, do Hulu. Também ficou com a série o título de melhor ator coadjuvante, conquistado por Peter Dinklage, o Tyrion Lannister

Nas categorias de melhor atriz e melhor ator em séries de drama, o Emmy premiou Claire Foy, a rainha Elizabeth de The Crown e Matthew Rhys, de The Americans, ambos em suas últimas chances de levarem as estatuetas. Isso porque a série da HBO sobre a família real britânica vai reformular todo o elenco em sua nova fase, enquanto a trama da FX chegou ao fim em junho após seis temporadas. Em seu primeiro ano no prêmio, a série não apenas conquistou o título de melhor série de comédia, como consagrou Rachel Brosnahan como melhor atriz em série de comédia, Alex Borstein como melhor atriz coadjuvante, e Amy Sherman-Palladino como melhor roteiro e direção de comédia.
